Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with team members to conceptualise and storyboard animated video concepts that align with our advocacy goals and target audiences.
2. Design and animate graphics, characters, and visual elements for a variety of video projects, ensuring consistency with our brand guidelines and messaging.
3. Use animation software and tools (e.g., After Effects, Adobe Animate) to bring concepts to life and convey complex ideas in an engaging and accessible format.
4. Work closely with scriptwriters, voiceover artists, and sound designers to integrate audio elements and enhance the overall impact of animated videos.
5. Iterate on animation drafts based on feedback from stakeholders, ensuring clarity, coherence, and alignment with project objectives.
6. Manage project timelines and deliverables, balancing creative vision with practical constraints and deadlines.
7. Stay informed about animation trends, techniques, and best practices to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of our video content.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in video animation, with a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in designing and animating engaging and visually compelling videos.
2. Proficiency in animation software, such as Adobe After Effects, Adobe Animate, or similar tools.
3. Strong understanding of animation principles, storytelling techniques, and visual communication.
4. Excellent graphic design skills, with the ability to create and manipulate assets for animation.
5. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex ideas into accessible and engaging animated content.
7. Commitment to digital rights, social justice, and equity, aligning with the mission and values of the Digital Freedom Fund.
