The Digital Freedom Fund is establishing a consultancy roster for talented and passionate graphic designers who are committed to advancing digital rights and social justice. If your portfolio meets our requirements, you will be contacted and will have the opportunity to collaborate with us on various projects and initiatives aimed at driving positive change in the digital rights space. From designing materials to creating impactful visuals for campaigns and events, you will play a vital role in amplifying our mission and reaching diverse audiences across Europe and beyond.


Key Responsibilities


1.  Collaborate with our team to understand project objectives, target audiences, and messaging requirements.

2. Develop creative concepts and visual designs that effectively communicate complex ideas and amplify our efforts.

3. Produce high-quality graphics, infographics, illustrations, and multimedia content for digital and print platforms.

4. Ensure consistency and alignment with our brand guidelines across all design assets and communication channels.

5. Adapt designs to meet the specific needs of our audience and stakeholders.

6. Incorporate feedback and iterate on designs to ensure clarity, impact, and accessibility.

7. Meet project deadlines and deliverables while maintaining a high standard of quality and attention to detail.


Requirements

1. Demonstrated experience (minimum 2 years) in graphic design, preferably in the non-profit sector, or social justice initiatives.

2. Proficiency in graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).

3. Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design work, with an emphasis on visual storytelling, typography, and branding.

4. Excellent understanding of design principles, colour theory, layout, and composition.

5. Ability to translate complex ideas and concepts into visually engaging and accessible content.

6. Familiarity with digital media platforms, web design principles, and user experience (UX) design is a plus.

7. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively.

8. Commitment to social justice, human rights, and digital rights, with a passion for using design as a tool for positive change.

9. Fluency in English.

10. Flexibility to work remotely and accommodate project-based assignments with varying timelines and scopes.
